Roxie and Dirk are a pair of twins that have been transported into different universes through a rift in spacetime. They cannot see each other, but they can hear each other. Soon, they realize that their worlds are connected, and that actions that one twin makes affects the world of the other. Now, they must work together to find a way out of their universes and get back together. The players learn about the backstory through a cutscene at the beginning (with audio narration). They learn about the connected worlds through a small puzzle at the beginning, which will be outlined in the Levels section. At the end of the game, Roxie and Dirk will defeat a final boss (a robot), which collapses the two universes, reuniting the twins.
